Event Details

Join us for the Annual SAHLA/AAHA SeaWorld Park Preview and Luncheon! The San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association is proud to partner again with the Alamo Area Hospitality Association and SeaWorld for a 2016 season update and sneak peek. You’ll hear important updates from SAHLA, AAHA, and SeaWorld during lunch, as well as explore SeaWorld’s Discovery Point and Explorer’s Reef, home to several species of sharks, many of which are endangered, along with exotic fish and a living coral reef.

At Discovery Point, an expansive Dolphin Lagoon is home to a playful pod of bottlenose dolphins. Once fully open to the public, this exhibit will allow SeaWorld guests to watch dolphins from sand-swept shores, go deeper with Dolphin Underwater Viewing, reserve a Signature Dolphin Swim – the only place to swim with dolphins in Texas – or discover the thrill of swimming alongside Beluga Whales or Sea Lions.

Almost 500 people attended our sold out Hospitality Industry 2015 Mayoral Forum at the Marriott Plaza on March 18th and we sincerely thank our sponsors for making this important event possible.

Our industry was successful in obtaining commitments from Mayor Ivy Taylor, state Senator Leticia Van de Putte, former Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, and former state Representative Mike Villarreal to create a city-sponsored task force to evaluate the operations of the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau in a public/private partnership.
