In addition to the exciting events SAHLA hosts, we have several committees which can connect you with our members as well as get you more involved in our organization.

As an advocacy organization, education and advancement of issues important to our industry is paramount to our success. The Advocacy & Public Relations committee helps to shape public policy for travel and tourism in San Antonio through the creation and communication of position statements on critical issues affecting our membership. Through regular communication with elected officials and participation on various Boards & Commissions, the committee’s input and collaboration with other entities is crucial to the progress of our industry.

From education on advocacy issues affecting our industry, to the analysis of ongoing & emerging industry trends, to honoring the contributions of our workforce, the Education & Events Committee is charged with creating events to bolster SAHLA’s mission while raising funds for educational scholarships. The committee also oversees the development and promotion of our SA Hotel Deals program, which offers hotel room nights, attraction tickets, and restaurant gift cards donated by our members at discounted rates. SAHLA events and programs support the growth of our partnerships with St. Philip’s College and the University of Houston – San Antonio who cultivate and inspire our future industry leaders.

Our members are the lifeblood of our organization and we thrive on connecting potential new clients and businesses through building peer to peer and vendor relationships. The Membership & Administration Committee is responsible for the acquisition and retention of our members while creating added value through enhanced communication and the creation of unique networking forums.
